67-Year-Old Man Killed in Yuba-Sutter Crash on Highway 99 near Knights Road
Yuba-Sutter, California (February 23, 2020) – A deadly collision that occurred on Friday evening in the Yuba-Sutter area left one man dead and another hospitalized, according to a report by the CHP.
The accident, which happened shortly before 7 p.m. February 22, occurred on Highway 99, just south of Knights Road.
According to the report, a 67-year-old Yuba City man was driving northbound on Highway 99 when he swerved into the southbound lane to pass another vehicle and collided with an oncoming vehicle.

The Yuba City man was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. His name was not immediately released.
The other involved driver, Amber Calonder, 18, of Knights Landing, was treated for moderate injuries.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to have played a role in the accident.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
