Young Hi Lim Killed in Redwood City Hit-and-Run Accident on Woodside Road
Young Hi Lim ID’d as Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Woodside Road in Redwood City

Redwood City, California (January 26, 2021) – The San Mateo County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman who died after being by a hit-and-run driver Saturday evening in Redwood City as Young Hi Lim, 73, of Redwood City.
The deadly crash happened at around 5:52 p.m. Saturday, January 23, on Woodside Road, just south of Sequoia Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the authorities, Lim was struck by a vehicle for unknown reasons on the roadway.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found Lim lying unconscious on her side in the eastbound middle lane of Woodside Road.
The medics performed life-saving measures on Lim and took her to Stanford Hospital, where she was declared deceased.
The driver of the vehicle involved did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene. There was no description of the suspect’s vehicle or driver.
Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run driver.
