Woman Injured in Pinole Crash on I-80
Pinole, California (June 1, 2021) – A woman was injured when a loose tire struck her vehicle in Pinole on Monday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A vehicle traveling in the westbound lanes of I-80 lost one of its tires.
The tire went across the lanes of traffic and ended up in the eastbound side, where it struck an eastbound vehicle.
The tire then bounced back to the westbound lanes and struck a second vehicle. It then landed on a third car which was being driven by a woman.

The woman was transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The incident is under investigation.
