Spring Valley, California (February 13, 2021) – A 21-year-old woman was killed in a Friday night multi-vehicle accident that left two men and a 15-month-old child injured in Spring Valley, authorities said.

The deadly accident happened at about 10:10 p.m., on February 12, at Jamacha Road and Sweetwater Road.

The police said a car was being driven with its lights off, and when they ran the plates, they came back stolen. The officials attempted to pull the car over, but the driver fled.

Minutes later, the vehicle crashed into two vehicles at the intersection after driving through a red light.

Sadly, the 21-Year-Old Woman was critically injured and was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. She was in the first car to be struck.

The second vehicle that was struck was occupied by the two men and the 15-month-old child. They were all hospitalized with moderate to severe injuries.

The driver of the stolen vehicle, a 17-year-old teen, fled the scene on foot but was arrested on charges of Gross Vehicular Manslaughter, possession of a stolen vehicle, and other charges related to the accident.

A 16-year-old passenger in the stolen vehicle was also arrested on charges related to a handgun found in the car. Both juveniles were hospitalized for treatment of minor injuries before being booked into Juvenile Hall.

The crash remains under investigation.
