Leroy Wikander Injured in Car Crash at 60th Street West and Avenue D in Lancaster
Lancaster, California (November 27, 2019) – A 68-year-old woman was killed in a car accident that occurred in Lancaster on Monday, November 25.
According to a local news source, the fatal traffic collision occurred at about 5 p.m. at 60th Street West and Avenue D.
As per the report, 58-year-old Saul Lozoya of Lancaster was driving a 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck westbound on Highway 138 (Avenue D) when he collided with a Ford Focus at the intersection.
The impact of the collision sent the Ford Focus off the roadway while the truck ended up on the right shoulder.
The Rosamond woman who was riding in the car was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital where she died while undergoing treatment.
The driver of the Ford Focus, 73-year-old Leroy Wikander of Rosamond, was also transported to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment.
No further information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
