Pedestrian Injured in Torrey Pines Crash on Torrey Pines Road near Salk Institute Road
Torrey Pines, California (November 27, 2019) – A man was hit and injured by a vehicle on Tuesday evening in Torrey Pines, according to the San Diego police.
The incident happened at about 6:45 p.m. November 26, on Torrey Pines Road near Salk Institute Road.
Police said a 31-year-old man was crossing Torrey Pines Road outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by an 18-year-old man driving a 2013 Mercedes SUV northbound.
Man Injured in Torrey Pines Pedestrian Crash
The victim sustained major head trauma and was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
Alcohol was not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
