Jean Macke Dies, 2 Seriously Hurt after El Dorado County Crash on Highway 50
El Dorado County, California (February 8, 2020) – 89-year-old Jean Macke has been identified as the victim killed after a head-on crash on Thursday evening in El Dorado County, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash occurred on Highway 50 near Pollock Pines, west of Fresh Pond at around 6:20 p.m. Thursday, February 6.
As per the report, a 2014 Ford Escape driven by Macke was traveling at a speed of 65 mph westbound on Highway 50 when, for unknown reasons, she drifted into oncoming 2013 Toyota Sienna at a curve. The two vehicles ultimately collided head-on.

Macke was transported to Marshall Hospital where she died.
The second driver and a passenger suffered serious injuries and were hospitalized.
