19-Year-Old Woman Killed in Ventura Crash on Highway 1
Ventura, California (February 1, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Monday morning traffic accident that killed a 19-year-old woman in Ventura.
The deadly accident happened at about 1:35 a.m. on Highway 1, south of Thornhill Broome Beach.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by the woman, was headed southbound on the highway when it lost control, went over an embankment and into the ocean.

Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was not clear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the mishap.
The crash remains under investigation.
