Woman Injured in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Fairview Street at Trask Avenue in Santa Ana
Santa Ana, California (October 8, 2019) – The authorities have arrested a suspect in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident that left a woman seriously injured in Santa Ana on Sunday night.
According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 8 p.m. October 6, at Fairview Street at Trask Avenue.
An elderly woman and her husband were walking in the area when she was hit by a car driven by Karina Garcia.
The unidentified woman was seriously injured and was transported to UCI Medical Center for treatment.
Garcia reportedly fled the scene after the accident but later turned herself into the police. She was booked into Santa Ana Police City Jail on felony hit-and-run and other charges.
No further information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
