Elderly Woman Hospitalized with Severe Injuries after Bellevue Pedestrian Accident on Bellevue Way
Bellevue, Washington (November 20, 2019) – An 85-year-old woman was severely injured after being hit by a car Wednesday morning at an intersection in Bellevue, authorities said.
The accident occurred at about 6:30 a.m. at Bellevue Way and NE 24th Street.
Police and paramedics responded to the scene and found the victim with severe life-threatening injuries.
The woman was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The driver involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Authorities closed the southbound lanes of Bellevue as they investigated.
The cause of the crash is under an active investigation.
