Man Killed in Wilmington Pedestrian Accident at Avalon Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway

Wilmington, California (July 26, 2021) – A male pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Monday morning in Wilmington, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred just after midnight at Avalon Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway.
According to the police, a vehicle was headed southbound on Avalon Boulevard from Pacific Coast Highway when it struck the 30- to 40-year-old man as he was crossing the street.

Sadly, the man, who appeared to be homeless, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
