Five People Hospitalized after Whittier Crash at Florence Avenue and Telegraph Road

Whittier, California (April 20, 2021) – Five people were critically injured late Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash in south Whittier, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The wreck was reported at around 10:57 p.m. Sunday, April 18, at the intersection of Florence Avenue and Telegraph Road.
As per the CHP report, two vehicles were involved in the collision. One of the drivers possibly ran a red light.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and rescued five people who were trapped in their vehicles.
All five patients were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Their names have not been disclosed.
Speed was considered a factor in the accident. The CHP believed one of the drivers was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
