Westmont, California (January 10, 2021) – A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a hit-and-run motorist Tuesday night in the Westmont area, according to a local news source.

At around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, emergency personnel responded to the 10321 block of Vermont Avenue for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Upon arrival, they found a man lying in the roadway unresponsive. He was treated at the scene by responding paramedics before being transported to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center with major injuries.

Authorities said the man had no identification on him. He was described as having a reddish-brown beard and blond-gray hair.

The man is believed to be in his late 40s to mid-50s; 5 feet, 9 inches tall; and weighs 176 pounds. He has several tattoos, including the name “Jacqueline” on his left arm.

Details about the driver of the involved vehicle were not immediately available.
