Las Vegas Man Killed in Westley Pedestrian Accident at Joe’s Travel Plaza
Westley, California (February 7, 2019) – A Las Vegas man was struck and killed by a big rig on Wednesday night in Westley, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at the Joe’s Travel Plaza along Howard Street at about 8:30 p.m. February 6.
CHP said a big rig was backing up in the parking lot when it allegedly hit a 39-year-old man from Las Vegas.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the big rig was identified by the authorities but their name was not disclosed.
The report indicates that a silver or black Acura may also have been involved in the accident.
The CHP is working to determine the cause of the crash.
