West Sacramento, California (July 31, 2021) – One person was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after a Friday night West Sacramento crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP said the multi-vehicle wreck occurred at around 11:23 p.m. on eastbound 80 Freeway, near Reed Avenue on-ramp.

Four vehicles, including two SUVs, collided for unknown reasons.

Firefighters responded to the scene to find one person with serious injuries. That patient was taken to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment.

No other details were available.

Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
