1 Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Accident on Monterey Road and San Jose Avenue
San Jose, California (July 31, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on Thursday night in San Jose.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened in the area of Monterey Road and San Jose Avenue, just east of Highway 87, at 9:04 p.m. July 29.
A man was reportedly walking in the northbound lanes of Monterey Road when he was hit by a Honda Civic that was traveling northbound on Monterey Road.
The pedestrian was transported to the hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
The driver of the Honda Civic stayed at the scene of the accident and cooperated with the authorities.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
