West Covina, California (September 26, 2019) – A 52-year-old semi-truck driver was killed after a deadly crash early Thursday morning in West Covina, according to a local news source.

The chain-reaction collision happened at around 2:55 a.m. Thursday, on eastbound 10 Freeway near the Citrus Street off-ramp.

As per the report, two big rigs crashed into the back of another semi-truck and a vehicle for reasons still under investigation.

One driver identified as a 52-year-old South Gate resident suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

Another big rig driver was pinned in the vehicle. The driver was extricated and transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries of unknown degree.

No other party was reported injured in the crash.

Authorities closed all eastbound lanes of the San Bernardino Freeway, just west of Citrus Street exit.

An investigation is underway.
