5 Kids Seriously Injured in Watsonville Car Accident on Freedom Boulevard near Appletree Lane
Watsonville, California (October 14, 2019) – Five juveniles were injured Friday night in an alleged DUI crash in Watsonville, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident took place on Freedom Boulevard near Appletree Lane Friday, October 11.
The California Highway Patrol said a 19-year-old Watsonville woman was driving on Freedom Boulevard when for an unknown reason, she drove into oncoming traffic and her vehicle collided head-on with a Honda Odyssey.
The Honda had five young juveniles from Watsonville. They sustained major injuries following the crash.
According to the CHP, the 19-year-old Watsonville woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol and causing great bodily harm.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
