67-Year-Old Pedestrian Among 2 Injured in Pacific Beach Crash near Mission Bay Drive and Garnet Avenue

Pacific Beach, California (October 15, 2019) – A 67-year-old pedestrian was critically injured in a traffic crash that happened on Monday afternoon in Pacific Beach.
The crash occurred at about 1:15 p.m. October 14, in the area of Mission Bay Drive and Garnet Avenue.
According to San Diego police, a grey BMW struck a man and threw him into the southbound lane of Mission Bay Drive. The BMW then continued and collided with a white four-door sedan. The impact pushed the BMW over a fence and into a business parking lot.
Two Injured in Pacific Beach Pedestrian Crash
The pedestrian was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. A second party was also taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The intersection was closed down by the authorities as they conducted an investigation into the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
