CHP Says 1 Person Possibly Killed in Walnut Creek Crash on Interstate 680 near Treat Boulevard Off-Ramp

Walnut Creek, California (July 1, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle collision that happened early Thursday morning in Walnut Creek, resulting in a possible fatality.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident happened at around 2:05 a.m. on northbound Interstate 680, just north of Treat Boulevard off-ramp.
As per the report, three vehicles were involved in the collision.
At least one person was possibly killed in the crash.
The report added that a separate car crash involving two vehicles also happened at the same scene. That accident resulted in property damage only. A driver of one of the cars was arrested for an unknown violation.
CHP is investigating the collisions.
