Lakeside, California (July 1, 2021) – At least one person sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision that happened Wednesday night at an intersection in Lakeside, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident occurred at around 10:35 p.m. at Wildcat Canyon Road and Oak Oasis Road.

Two vehicles of unknown make and model collided head-on at the intersection, and one of them caught fire.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help at least one person who sustained major injuries.

Authorities had not yet established the cause of the crash at the time of the report, but an investigation is ongoing.
