Walnut Creek, California (February 21, 2020)  According to a local news source, a 60-year-old man was struck and injured by a vehicle on Thursday morning in Walnut Creek.

The pedestrian crash took place on February 20, in the area of Ygnacio Valley Road and San Carlos Drive near the entrance to Heather Farm Park.

The male party was hit by a truck while crossing the intersection in a marked crosswalk at approximately 5:21 a.m.

The initial report indicated that the truck was traveling west on Ygnacio Valley while the victim was walking toward the park at the time of the collision.

The truck operator stopped after the wreck and cooperated with the investigation.

The pedestrian reportedly sustained minor injuries in the wreck. He was rushed to John Muir Medical Center by medical personnel for further treatment.

Meanwhile, the identity and the current condition of the patient have not yet been released to this time.
