Virginio Ponce Dies after Newberry Springs Car Accident Fairview Road and Harvard Road
Newberry Springs, California (April 26, 2020) – Virginio Ponce, 47, of Newberry Springs, has been identified as one of the two victims who were killed in a two-vehicle accident on Saturday morning in Newberry Springs, according to police.
At about 10:47 a.m., on April 25, the police responded to the crash at the intersection of Fairview Road and Harvard Road.
As per the authorities’ reports, a Jeep Wrangler was traveling eastbound on Fairview Road when it struck a Polaris Ranger, which was heading southbound on Harvard Road.
Ponce, who was a front-seat passenger in the Polaris, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Jeep driver was flown to St. Mary Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
More details about the crash were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
