Lon Mam Killed in Hanford Car Accident at Kansas Avenue and 11th Avenue
Hanford, California (May 4, 2021) – The 64-year-old Wasco man who died following a car accident at an intersection in Hanford last week Friday evening has been identified as Lon Mam.
The deadly two-vehicle crash happened near Kansas Avenue and 11th Avenue at about 6:52 p.m. on April 30.
The accident happened when a 2010 Chevrolet operated by a 29-year-old Tulare man eastbound on the highway at high speed veered off into the westbound lane directly into the lane of a 2008 Toyota driven by Mam west on Kansas Avenue.
The Toyota then crashed with the Chevrolet near 11th Avenue.
Lon Mam Fatal Hanford Car Accident
As per the California Highway Patrol report, both Lon and Tulare man died in the accident.
Officials believe intoxication was a factor in the mishap.
The collision resulted in the closure of the intersection for an unknown time
An investigation into the accident is underway.
