63-Year-Old Ventura Man Dies after Castaic Big Rig Crash on 5 Freeway near Parker Road Off-Ramp
Castaic, California (September 16, 2020) – A 63-year-old Ventura man was killed in a big rig accident on Wednesday morning in Castaic, authorities said.
The deadly accident transpired at about 12:01 a.m. Golden State (5) Freeway near Parker Road off-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Castaic Tow flatbed was traveling northbound on Interstate 5 in the No. 3 lane behind a tractor-trailer
Unfortunately, the tow truck rear-ended a tractor-trailer. The factors that contributed to the accident are yet to be established, the officials said.

Sadly, the 63-year-old man, who was driving the tow truck, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
