Ventura County, CA: Two-Car Accident on Grimes Canyon Road
3 Hospitalized after Ventura County Car Accident on Grimes Canyon Road (Highway 23)near San Marino Oil Company Road

Ventura County, California (January 28, 2019) – Three people were hospitalized Monday evening following a traffic crash in Ventura County, authorities said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck was reported at about 5:10 p.m. on Grimes Canyon Road near San Marino Oil Company Road, just south of Bardsdale. Grimes Canyon Road is also called Highway 23.
The CHP said for an unknown reason two vehicles collided on Grimes Canyon Road.
Three male victims were transported by ambulance to hospitals. According to the CHP officials, one was transported to Los Robles Regional Medical Center with major injuries to lower extremities while two others were taken to other hospitals with complaints of pain.
Authorities closed Grimes Canyon Road in both directions for a time while emergency crews worked to clear the site of the crash. As of 6:00 a.m. all lanes were reopened and traffic was flowing in both directions.
The crash remains under investigation.
