1 Killed in Ventura Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101 at Victoria Avenue
Ventura, California (August 24, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday night in Ventura, a local news source reported.
The fatal pedestrian accident was reported at about 8:54 p.m., August 23, on northbound Highway 101, north of Victoria Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol did not immediately establish how the collision occurred.

The pedestrian was declared deceased at the crash site by Ventura police officials. Pending notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
The wreck resulted in the closure of the northbound ramp to the freeway from Victoria Avenue as police and emergency crews worked to investigate and clear the scene.
