Valley Center, California (April 5, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being hit by a car that fled the scene Monday evening in Valley Center, as per a report by the California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at around 7:03 p.m. in the 9679 block of Old Castle Road.

The report said an unknown vehicle hit the pedestrian under unclear circumstances and fled the scene.

The victim sustained minor-to-moderate injuries and was transported to Palomar Medical Center for treatment.

The report said the suspect car may have a possible clipped mirror.

No other information about the crash was available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
