Valley Center, California (May 6, 2021) — A woman was hospitalized Wednesday morning following a car crash at an intersection in Valley Center, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at around 6:42 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, at the intersection of Old Castle Road and Castle Crest Drive and involved two vehicles.
Details on what led up to the crash were not immediately available, but the CHP said one of the involved vehicles crashed into a power pole after the collision.
A female occupant of the vehicle that struck the power pole was taken to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido with a head injury. Her name and current condition were not disclosed.
The crash remains under investigation.
