66-Year-Old Rider Dies in Vallejo Bicycle Crash on Fairgrounds Drive
Vallejo, California (September 21, 2019) – One person was killed in a bicycle collision early Saturday morning in Vallejo, according to police.
The crash was reported at about 1:20 a.m. on Fairgrounds Drive.
Police said a 25-year-old American Canyon man was driving a 2012 Toyota Prius northbound on Fairgrounds Drive when it crashed into a westbound bicyclist.
Bicyclist Dies in Vallejo Traffic Crash
The rider, identified as a 66-year-old Vallejo resident, was killed in the accident.
The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene.
Police are working to determine the cause of the crash.
