79-Year-Old Ubaldo Ybanez Killed in San Diego Car Accident on Highway 44
San Diego, California (September 21, 2019) – 79-year-old Ubaldo Tito Ybanez of Alice has been identified as the victim killed in a traffic collision in San Diego on Friday morning, a local news source reported.
The fatal wreck happened in the morning hours on September 20, along Highway 44 near County Road 170.
According to authorities, Ybanez was struck by a Dodge pickup truck while crossing the westbound lane of Highway for unknown reasons.
Ybanez sustained major injuries in the crash. He was pronounced dead on Friday evening, September 20.
The driver, whose identity has not yet been revealed, told police he did not see the victim until “it was too late.”
The investigation remains under an active investigation.
