At Least 1 Airlifted after Ukiah Traffic Collision on Highway 101 near Highway 20

Ukiah, California (January 8, 2019) – At least one person was airlifted to a hospital after a traffic collision that happened Monday night in Ukiah, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The collision involved two vehicles and occurred at about 9:13 p.m. on northbound Highway 101, just north of Highway 20.
The report did not mention how the vehicles collided.
An air ambulance was requested to transport at least one patient to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The victim sustained unspecified major injuries.
Authorities shut down both northbound and southbound traffic to allow the helicopter to land.
Both vehicles were towed away from the collision scene.
CHP is investigating the crash to establish its cause and the party to be held responsible.
