Truckee, CA: Man Injured in DUI Hit-and-Run Collision at Bridge and Jibboom Streets
1 Hospitalized after Truckee Accident at Bridge and Jibboom Streets
Truckee, California (April 16, 2021) – A male pedestrian sustained major injuries after being struck by an alleged DUI hit-and-run driver, 32-year-old Stephen Andrew Lally, at an intersection in Truckee Wednesday night.
The pedestrian accident happened in the area of Bridge and Jibboom streets just about 10:30 p.m. April 14.
A red Subaru operated by Andrew Lally near the Truckee intersection hit the man for reasons still under investigation.
The victim sustained severe head injury following the mishap. The unidentified pedestrian was attended to by medical personnel and then rushed to an area hospital for further treatment.
Andrew, who was under the influence of alcohol, escaped the scene after the mishap.
Meanwhile, the suspect was later found and arrested on suspicion of DUI and felony hit-and-run.
The accident remains under investigation.
