Trinity County, CA: Fatal Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 299 near Highway 3

Trinity County, California (October 30, 2019) – A person was killed and two others hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Tuesday night in Trinity County, according to the CHP.
The crash happened shortly before 9:00 p.m. October 29, on Highway 299 near Highway 3.
CHP said a driver heading east on Highway 299 reportedly had a seizure and crashed into a second vehicle on the bridge near Highway 3.

One passenger was killed in the crash. The two drivers were taken to Mercy Medical Center in Redding. One of the drivers had major injuries while the second was hospitalized with minor injuries.
No further details were released.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
