San Joaquin County, California (May 20, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Tracy, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The accident was reported at around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 19 near the Mountain House High School, which is located in the 1090 block of South Central Parkway.

A student was hit by a vehicle for undetermined reasons near the Mountain House High School, the CHP report states.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and treated the pedestrian who sustained unspecified injuries as a result of the crash. The name and condition of the patient at this time were not disclosed.

The involved driver fled the scene after hitting the student. There was no description of the suspect’s vehicle or driver.

Police are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.

Central Parkway was closed following the wreck, which remains under investigation.
