Timothy Collins ID’d as Man Killed in Lakeland Village Motorcycle Accident on Grand Avenue near Ethlene Drive

Lakeland Village, California (July 8, 2020) – Timothy Collins, 52, of Lakeland Village, has been identified as the man who was killed in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday afternoon in Lakeland Village, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau.
At about 4:13 p.m., on July 7, the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly crash at 15996 Grand Avenue, approximately 100 feet south of Ethlene Drive.
The CHP said Collins was riding a Suzuki northbound on Grand Avenue when a Toyota Camry pulled out of Lake Country Plaza Shopping Center.
According to the officials, the Toyota was attempting to cross the road over to Weekend Paradise RV Park on the westbound side of the street when it was broadsided on the right side by Collins’s motorcycle.
As a result of the collision, Collins, who had the right of way, was ejected onto the roadway, the CHP said.

Collins sustained fatal injuries in the accident. He was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.
The Toyota driver, a 67-year-old man, from Lakeland Village, remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. He was uninjured in the crash.
Intoxication was not suspected as a factor in the mishap.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
