Rider Hospitalized after Thousand Oaks Bicycle Accident on 101 Freeway and Lynn Road
Thousand Oaks, California (May 26, 2021) – A bicycle rider was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Thousand Oaks, according to a local news source.
The bicycle accident happened at around 1:47 p.m. on 101 Freeway at Lynn Road.
As per the local news report, the bicyclist was hit by a white SUV for an unknown reason on the roadway.
First responders arrived at the scene and found the bicycle rider down in traffic lanes with unspecified injuries.
The patient was then taken to Los Robles Regional Medical Center for treatment. The name of the victim and their condition were not immediately disclosed.
The SUV driver remained on the scene and was cooperative, authorities said. Police closed the Lynn Road exit following the wreck.
