1 Killed 4 Hurt in Temecula Car Crash on 15 Freeway and Rancho California Road
Temecula, California (June 5, 2019) – One person died, and two were seriously hurt in a traffic collision in Temecula Tuesday morning.
The fatal crash was reported at approximately 7:30 a.m. June 4, in the southbound lanes of the Interstate 15.
The California Highway Patrol report indicated that a green or blue Chevrolet pickup truck traveled across all traffic lanes and into the path of another motorist in a blue 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe. The Hyundai ended up in the center divider. The initial report showed that a white sedan went off the roadway and into the City Hall parking structure.
As per the reports, it appears that the person in the white sedan may have died as a result of the collision. Two victims sustained severe injuries following the wreck and transported to the hospital for treatment. Two others suffered minor hurts and received first aid treatment from the paramedics.
It was not clear whether or not the driver of the truck, which caused the accident stopped after the crash or left the scene.
The Rancho California Road on-ramp to the southbound 15 Freeway was closed down by the police as they conducted the investigation.
The authorities are still investigating the leading cause of the accident.
