Symone Conley Killed in Fallbrook Hit-and-Run Accident on Gird Road
Symone Conley ID’d as Woman Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Gird Road near Laketree Drive in Fallbrook
Fallbrook, California (December 15, 2020) – The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the woman who died after being struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver while walking with her husband Thursday afternoon in Fallbrook as Symone Conley, 60, of Fallbrook.
The California Highway Patrol said the deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 2:01 p.m. Thursday, December 10, on Gird Road near Laketree Drive.
According to the CHP, Conley and her husband were walking on the right shoulder of Gird Road when an eastbound dark-colored pickup truck swerved out of a traffic lane on Gird Road and struck Conley from behind.
Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Gird Road
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and pronounced Conley dead at the scene. Her husband, also 60, was uninjured in the crash.
The driver of the pickup truck, Pasqual Domingo Pasqual Cristobal, 36, of Fallbrook, stopped briefly at the crash site and then drove off. On Sunday, December 13, Cristobal was later arrested and booked into the county jail in Vista on suspicion of felony hit-and-run, DUI causing death, and manslaughter, the CHP said.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
