Ivan Kreft Killed in Motorcycle Accident at Pepper Drive and Plumeria Drive in El Cajon
Ivan Kreft ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in El Cajon DUI Crash at Pepper Drive and Plumeria Drive

El Cajon, California (December 15, 2020) – The motorcyclist who died in an alleged DUI crash Monday morning in El Cajon has been identified as Ivan Joseph Kreft, 32, of El Cajon, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The deadly accident happened at about 7:05 a.m. Monday, December 14, at the intersection of Pepper Drive and Plumeria Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Kref was riding a 2005 Suzuki GSXR 1000 motorcycle eastbound on Pepper Drive towards Plumeria Drive while a 2011 Kia Sportage, driven by Pamela Gilmore, 59, of Santee, was heading northbound on Plumeria Drive, preparing to head westbound on Pepper Drive.
The Kia reportedly entered the intersection and collided with the motorcycle. Kref was ejected from the bike upon the impact.

Kref was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, police said.
Gilmore sustained minor injuries and declined medical aid. Her 83-year-old passenger was not injured.
Police later determined that Gilmore was under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time of the accident. She was eventually arrested and booked at Los Colinas Women’s Detention Facility for felony DUI causing injury and gross vehicular manslaughter.
Her bail was set at $100,000.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
