Man Killed in Sylmar Pedestrian Accident on Astoria Street
Sylmar, California (August 13, 2020) – A man died at the scene after being hit by a vehicle in Sylmar Tuesday night, August 11, authorities reported.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened in the 13900 block of Astoria Street at around 9:51 p.m.
Officials said a silver Ford F-250 pickup truck struck the man who was in a wheelchair for reasons still under investigation.
Due to the impact of the collision, the male party was ejected from his wheelchair.
The pickup truck driver remained at the scene after hitting the pedestrian and cooperated with the law.
The unidentified victim died in the wreck.
Meanwhile, the accident remains under investigation.
