At Least 1 Killed in Sutter Crash on Highway 20 near W Butte Road

Sutter, California (April 27, 2021) – At least one person died in a traffic collision that took place Monday afternoon in Sutter, the California Highway Patrol said.
CHP received reports of the car accident at about 4:13 p.m. on eastbound Highway 20, just east of W Butte Road.
The collision involved a black Ford Escape, a black Toyota Tacoma, and a black Subaru Forester.
One of the vehicles went off the roadway after the crash, and another was blocking the roadway.
The report said at least one person died in the accident.
There were no injuries sustained by the occupants of the Forester, the report added.
Sutter County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene and were helping direct traffic at W Butte Road.
Caltrans was also requested to respond to the scene to help direct traffic and clear debris that was scattered in traffic lanes.
Both the pickup truck and Escape were towed away with major traffic damage.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
