Moreno Valley, California (July 28, 2021) – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner has identified the woman who died Wednesday, three days after being involved in a traffic collision in Moreno Valley as Susan Wiseman, 64, of Moreno Valley.

The crash happened at around 3:26 p.m. Sunday, July 25, at the intersection of Lasselle Street and Via Xavier Lane.

Authorities said a black 2016 Kia Forte was heading southbound on Lasselle Street when the driver allegedly ran a red light at the intersection and crashed into a red 2008 Toyota Matrix driven by Wiseman, who was attempting to make a left turn from eastbound Via Xavier onto northbound Lasselle Street.

Woman Killed in Moreno Valley Crash Identified

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated Wiseman, who was trapped in the wreckage.

Wiseman sustained major injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. On Wednesday, July 28, her condition deteriorated and she succumbed to her injuries.

The male driver of the Kia and his juvenile passenger were not injured in the crash.

Lasselle Street between Yanez Trail Road and Arroyo Park Drive was closed while the investigation and cleanup took place.
