Joseph Dalessia Among 2 Injured in Cottonwood Collision on Interstate 5 near Hooker Creek Road

Cottonwood, California (July 28, 2021) – Joseph Dalessia, 56, of Corona, was among two men who were injured Tuesday night in a traffic collision involving two vehicles near Cottonwood, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The two-vehicle crash happened at about 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, on Interstate 5 near Hooker Creek Road.
The CHP said Dalessia was driving a 2014 Dodge Ram southbound on Interstate 5 at an unsafe speed when he rear-ended the trailer of a Kenworth semi-truck that was also traveling in the same direction, driven by Troy Lynn Tempest, 59, of Spanaway, Washington.
The Dodge came to rest in the left lane after the crash.
2 Men Hospitalized after Interstate 5 Collision in Cottonwood
Dalessia and his passenger were transported to Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
