Minor Injuries Sustained in Sunol Car Crash on Highway 84 near Interstate 680
Sunol, California (May 8, 2021) – Minor injuries were sustained in a multi-vehicle collision that took place Saturday morning in Sunol, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The pileup was reported at about 6:32 a.m. on eastbound Highway 84, just east of Interstate 680.
Three vehicles, including a Ford Escape and a black Volkswagen Atlas, collided, blocking traffic lanes.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to find an unknown number of motorists with minor injuries. It was not clear if anyone was hospitalized.
At least two of the vehicles were towed away with traffic damage.
An investigation is underway.
