Camarillo, California (May 8, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday morning traffic accident that left two people injured in Camarillo.

The multi-vehicle accident transpired at about 8:40 a.m. on Highway 118 at Walnut Avenue.

According to the CHP, one of the drivers allegedly lost control after a tire blew, causing the vehicle to swerve and hit other vehicles. 

A Ford Bronco sustained major damage, and two people were stuck inside. The first responders rescued them. A Toyota Highlander was also damaged in the accident.

2 Injured in Highway 118 Crash

Two people were injured in the accident and were taken to Ventura County Medical Center with moderate to minor injuries. Three other parties declined hospitalization.

More details about the accident were not immediately available. 

The crash remains under investigation.
