Summer Eitel ID’d as Woman Killed in Fresno Car Crash at Highway 99 and Manning Avenue
Fresno, California (April 27, 2021) – Summer Eitel, 39, of Carmichael, Has been identified as the woman who was killed in a fiery Sunday morning traffic accident in Fowler, Fresno, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Highway 99 and Manning Avenue at about 8 a.m. on April 25.
The officials said a U-Haul box truck swerved off the right shoulder of Highway 99 and slammed into a tree.
Following the collision, the truck caught fire.
Sadly, Eitel, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
First responders extricated the driver who was trapped in the vehicle. The driver was transported to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
