Stormie Worcester ID’d as 24-Year-Old Woman Killed in Santa Cruz Crash on Highway 9 near Juanita Road

Santa Cruz, California (March 5, 2021) – Stormie Worcester, 24, of Santa Cruz, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a suspected DUI crash on Friday morning in Santa Cruz, according to the Santa Cruz County coroner.
The deadly accident occurred at about midnight on Highway 9 off of Juanita Road and Kings Creek.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2004 Nissan Xterra, operated by Chyanne Pilgreen, 21, of Ben Lomond, was headed northbound on the highway when the car ran off the road and rolled over for undetermined reasons.
Worcester, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was ejected from the car due to the collision. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, the officials said.

Worcester was injured in the accident and was taken to Dominican Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Pilgreen was hospitalized for minor injuries at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and arrested on suspicion of a felony driving under the influence charge.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
