Man Killed in Stockton Pedestrian Crash at South Lincoln Street

Stockton, California (October 21, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train on Sunday morning in Stockton, according to police.
The incident happened at about 9:34 a.m. October 20, at the South Lincoln Street crossing.
It’s unclear how the accident occurred.

Police said the man struck by the train was pronounced deceased at the site of the crash. His identity was not immediately released.
Police are conducting an investigation into the accident.
Many pedestrians are hurt and several others killed in accidents in California every year. The causes of many of these pedestrian accidents include distracted driving, speeding, drunk driving, reckless driving, bad weather, wrong-way driving and failure to observe traffic laws. It is evident that negligence on the part of motorists is the leading cause of these accidents.
