Man Killed in Stockton Pedestrian Crash at Harding Way and Commerce Street

Stockton, California (September 28, 2019) – A man was killed after a suspected hit-and-run pedestrian collision at an intersection in Stockton, according to the authorities.
The collision happened at about 6:23 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, at Harding Way and Commerce Street near the Miracle Mile.
As per the CHP officials, a male pedestrian was crossing the junction in a crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle for reasons still under investigation.
A surveillance video reportedly showed that the driver did not slow down as they drove through the intersection before hitting the man.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Stockton, September 25
Responding emergency crews transported the man to an area hospital where he later died. The name of the victim was not immediately released awaiting notification of next of kin.
Authorities confirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
The suspect motorist, believed to be a man in his 20s, was riding a car described as white Ford Mustang.
An investigation is ongoing.
